Landscaping - A True Art Form

Landscaping - A True Art Form

Executive Summary about Landscape Form by Frank L Froggat

Different types of landscaping art forms are mainly differentiated from others only by those who are doing the creating.
Landscape Designs That Are Formal In Nature
The plants and flowers chosen are usually picked with care to complement each other because they bring out the features of the landscape that they are planted on.
Landscapers will often use geometric patterns in their formal landscaping designs. Using low hedges and rock walls to separate the flower beds, they create a sense of definition and order to and other wise unorganized landscape that is very appealing to the beholder.
Professional landscapers will often use water features along with wooden bridges or stone paths in their formal designs. To really give the landscape a sense of elegance many landscapers will use stone as well. Because of the water features and wooden structures, formal garden landscaping is most often used in larger yard applications.
Informal Landscaping Is It's Own Art form
Informal landscaping doesn't require the same amount of meticulous design as does the formal variety but it does require it's own form of artistic talent. Many professional landscape designers have to consider the area and the preferences of the homeowner when making an informal garden design. Informal landscaping is more like letting the garden run its natural course with some guidance.
The creation of a landscape design project whether it be formal or informal in nature can be very exciting for those involved. Take the time to enjoy the process and make it a fun time.

Concrete Landscaping Is An Art Form

Executive Summary about Landscape Form by Scott Mackenzie

Concrete landscaping first became popular about ten years ago. Since that time it has securely found its place in many outdoor home designs. There are some yards that extend to an area slopes down to your yard. Concrete can work wonderfully as a retaining wall to stop erosion from allowing earth to fall into your yard. Proper concrete landscaping can even add value to your home. If you are fortunate enough to have a beautiful yard, the concrete adornments of today will act as a frame to enhance the beauty of outdoor living. Concrete landscaping can be purchased in all sorts of designs. As with anything else, no two landscaping contractors are alike. Seeing this sort of work is not something you can try ion for size, it is advisable to look carefully when anticipating a garden landscaper. Check with friends who have had work done, or maybe the local Better Business Bureau can point out some successful and long standing contractors in your community. Don't settle for someone who does this type of work as a sideline. Seek your landscaper using these points as a guide. What begins as a professional contract between you and a landscaping company, will end with a beautifully appointed yard and a sense of satisfaction in the work that was done.
